WORKSHOP : Perspectives on Dwelling: Architectural Anthropologies of Home

Publié le 22 mars 2022 Mis à jour le 28 mars 2022

Dr Ray Lucas, International Chair 2022 .

This workshop asks participants to make use of drawing and other inscriptive practices as a way of understanding and deepening engagement with the world. This workshop builds on research into the anthropology of creative practice with a focus on drawing. Drawing can be understood as an equivalent or alternative to the ‘thick descriptions’ of anthropological fieldwork. By drawing the everyday spaces of our homes, the aim is to understand them in greater detail. The workshop sessions are hands-on and practical. See the pdf booklet for details.
This activity is organised in association with the FRS/FNRS Thematic Doctoral School in Architecture, Urbanism, and Architectural and Urban Engineering EDT62.

Registration: send an email to denis.derycke@ulb.be before Apr. 21st, 2022
